7 Lovely Kihei Hotels & Condos Walkable to the Beach (2026)

The upbeat beach town of Kihei, Maui is my absolute favorite area to stay on the island—most of Kihei’s hotels, resorts, and condos are situated just across the street from Kihei’s miles-long coastline of golden sand and gentle waves.

After four Maui trips, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on the island. Friendly walkable Kihei and its beaches are the place to be! So, in this article I’m sharing my favorite local hotels and condos in Kihei at a variety of budgets. I hope my firsthand insights help you plan your trip more efficiently! 🌺

Across the street from Kihei’s beautiful Kamaole Beach I, Maui Coast Hotel is an all-around exceptional boutique hotel with a poolside bar and live music, complimentary bikes, pickleball courts, and a free shuttle that will take you all around Kihei and Wailea.

Many of the rooms have ocean views and kitchenettes. Although I usually opt for a condo over a hotel (for the full kitchen), Maui Coast Hotel is where I’d stay if I were looking for an affordable (by Hawaii standards) hotel with all the amenities and a perfect location!

Maui Beach Vacation Club ($175+/night)

Maui Beach Vacation Club has everything I look for at under $200 a night (a steal for a Maui hotel!) The spacious condos all have full-size kitchens and are located across from Kaipukaihina Beach in the northern part of Kihei.

The property has a pool, hot tub, and BBQs for grilling outside. The only downside is that the units don’t have air conditioning… if a fan and an ocean breeze isn’t enough for you, this isn’t the place to stay—but it’s hard to beat if you’re on a budget!

Mana Kai Maui ($500+/night)

On the edge of ritzy Wailea and relaxed Kihei, the oceanside rooms at Mana Kai Maui are STUNNING! The rooms overlook serene Keawakapu Beach, and are just a short walk from my favorite Kihei beach, Kamaole III, and Turtle Town!

Unlike most Kihei hotels, Mana Kai Maui is truly waterfront (rather than being across the street), with a pool, fitness center, and laundry facilities.

What a Wonderful World Bed & Breakfast ($200+/night)

A few blocks up from Kamaole Beach Park III (my favorite Maui beach!), this bed and breakfast is an adorable, welcoming alternative to a hotel! Each morning the breakfast is served on a serene lanai with ocean views.

The suites offer their own kitchenettes if you’d like to cook lunch or dinner, and the property has lounge spaces out in the midst of the jungle gardens!

Nona Lani Cottages ($300+/night)

Tucked away in the quieter northern part of Kihei, the adorable Nona Lani Cottages are across the street from the beach, with sweeping views! All the little cottages all feature air conditioning and some have outdoor patios and kitchenettes.

Staying in a cottage rather than a hotel offers a little more privacy and quietness since you don’t share a wall—yet you’re still in a central, scenic area!

Maui Parkshore 2 Bedroom Condos (Where I Always Stay!)

We ALWAYS stay at a 2 bedroom condo at Maui Parkshore, which I really believe is the best location in Kihei—directly across from my favorite beach (Kamaole III) with the most beautiful sunset views!

The condos are all independently owned, so each one is different, but they’re all 2 bedrooms with full kitchens and tend to go for $200-400/night. Given the spaciousness and location, it always feels like a great deal for us when we’re traveling as an extended family! Ohhhh and we love the little pool and access to all the beach necessities—beach chairs, umbrellas, and more.
