Virgin Voyages Ship Eats
Virgin Voyages’ Ship Eats is the cruise lines version of room service, except you can get it delivered (almost) anywhere on the ship.
This service is perfect whether you want to sleep in and get a specialty coffee delivered to your room to enjoy on the balcony, or want to order food while lounging by the pool.
The Ship Eats menu is limited, but it is available 24/7 and is easy to order on the Virgin Voyages app. There is a small delivery fee, but you can get it waived if you order a drink with your food.
How to Order Ship Eats on Virgin Cruises
You can order Ship Eats on any of the four Virgin Voyages cruise ships—Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady, and Brilliant Lady.
Simply open the Virgin Voyages app and navigate to the Ship Eats section. The menu varies based on the time of day, but there are always several food options, plus drinks.
The delivery fee is $5 USD, but if you add on a drink, everything is delivered for free. So, order your breakfast with a specialty coffee, or your dinner with a beer. You might as well put that $5 towards a beverage if you’re going to have to pay it either way!

What to Expect: Ordering Virgin Voyages Room Service
After placing an order, you’ll be able to check the order’s progress on the app. A Virgin Voyages crew member will deliver your food (and drink) in a reusable bag that keeps it hot on the go.
Honestly, before my Virgin Voyages cruise I’d never ever ordered room service before. And during my cruise I barely spent any waking hours in my cabin. But it was nice to be able to order a vegan cheesecake and drinks one night when we wanted to ‘stay in’.
About ‘Shake for Champagne’
While Shake for Champagne is technically different from Ship Eats, it is worth mentioning here! You can physically shake your phone with the Virgin Voyages app open at any point during your cruise and a crew member will bring you a bottle of champagne based on your phone’s location on the ship.
Of course, you will be charged for the champagne but this is a fun feature to try out if you’re celebrating a special occasion, or traveling with a group.

The Ship Eats menu varies based on the time of day, but some examples include: charcuterie board, beet hummus, cheddar cheeseburger, roasted cauliflower steak, blueberry green tea vegan cheesecake, popcorn, and more. For drinks you can order wine, beer, kombucha, tea, coffee, soda, and a selection of cocktails.
Is the Ship Eats food free?
Yes, the food available through Ship Eats is included in the cost of your cruise, so you do not need to pay extra. But you do need to pay for the delivery fee.

The only downside to Ship Eats is that the menu is limited and doesn’t change, so there are only so many options to choose from. However, Virgin Voyages is known for its speculator food, and how it caters to folks with dietary restrictions. So whether you are gluten free, vegan, or have another allergy, you should be able to find something to eat on the Ship Eats menu!
